Residency Special Features:   Our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to be a balanced residency experience in the core areas of pharmacy practice. To accomplish this, the resident will develop their expertise through core, elective and longitudinal learning experiences. Core learning opportunities include Internal Medicine, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Adult Critical Care, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Medication Safety, Emergency Medicine, Investigational Drug Services and Hematology/Oncology. Elective opportunities include repeating any core rotation, Academia, Infectious Disease/Consult Service, Pediatric Critical Care, Psychiatry, and Rural Hospital rotation. Longitudinal experiences include Research, Inpatient Pharmacy Services, Pharmacy Administration, Ambulatory Clinic and Education/Academia. Our affiliation with MCPHS University (Worcester Campus) will provide classroom teaching experiences, opportunity to precept pharmacy students on advanced clinical rotations, and the ability to obtain a Pharmacy Residency Teaching Certificate offered through Tufts University / New England Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts.
