Residency Special Features:   The Pharmacy Practice Residency offered at Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) is a flexible program designed to provide the resident with a unique experience in both clinical and administrative practice. Clinical rotations include cardiology (general and intensive care), adult medicine (general and intensive care), pediatrics/neonatology (general and intensive care), infectious disease, oncology, emergency medicine, anticoagulation, ambulatory care, and more. Longitudinal rotations include practice management (administration), research, and teaching/precepting. Written and oral communication skills are emphasized throughout the program as well as direct interactions with the attending and other healthcare team members. Additionally, the resident will gain experience teaching through in-service presentations and serving as preceptor for pharmacy students on clinical rotations.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Applicants must be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program. Eligibility for New Mexico licensure, letter of intent, college transcripts, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, photo, and on-site interview with presentation. Reference writers may use the PhORCAS form, submit their own letters, or do both. Incomplete PhORCAS applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
