Special Program Features:
Brewster Technical Center's, Pharmacy Technician Program is accredited and by ASHP, FLDE, and COE and has been established since 1990.It is a one year comprehensive program with an occupational completion point for the community pharmacy technician at 405 hours. Course includes: lecture, lab, I.V. preparation including TPN and chemotherapy in a state-of-the-art facility, with strong emphasis on proper aseptic technique, computer applications, prescription filling, profile maintenance, unit dose cassette fiing, Pyxis, pharamceutical calculations, law and pharmacology. It is a preparatory program for the national certification exam. Financial aid and job placement services are available on campus.
Acceptance Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Completion of the Health Career Core. Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

CPR (BLS); immunizations including HBV, PPD or CXR; background check, drug screen; first aid; Proof of medical insurance coverage and physical exam.
