Special Program Features:
American Career College has three different campus locations in Southern California, all offering a pharmacy technician training program. It is composed of 25 weeks of didactic and lab practicum for daytime classes, plus 240 hours of externship; 32 weeks for evening classes, plus 240 hours of externship. Lab exercises are schedule daily in our pharmacy lab offering students hands-on experience with unit dosing, compounding, IV admixture, community pharmacy dispensing, cassette filing and label typing. Upon completion of six core modules, students take a written comprehensive final and a practical final exam. Students are then assigned to a pharmacy site for 240 hours of externship. The school provide assistance with the process of applying for the California State Board of Pharmacy Technician License. Financial aid will be available to qualified students in 2007.
Acceptance Requirements:
Candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalency. Candidates must pass a standard entrance exam.

Special Requirements:
Some sites require TB skin test, MMR and Hep B. vaccines, Trade/Generic test and dosage calculations test.
