Special Program Features:
Anne Arundel Community College-Pharmacy Technician Program provides affordable quality instruction. The pharmacy technician program became ASHP accredited in 2004. The program provides a combination of both didactic and practical training, that helps prepare students for the transition into the pharmacy profession. This one-year program is designed to prepare students to sit for the Pharmacy technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination. Lab coursed emphasizes hands on IV preparation skill development and pharmacy computer applications in a simulated pharmacy lab. Financial aid is available to qualified students.
Acceptance Requirements:
1.HS graduate or equivalent. 2.Eligibility for English 111, students must demonstrate proficiency in arithmetic by: -Achieving a score or 19 or more on the Health Professions Arithmetic Placement Test or Completion of MAT 005 (Arithmetic) with a C or better. 4.Attend a pharmacy technician program orientation seminar.

Clinical sites are available in Anne Arundel County and surrounding counties; Howard County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City.
Special Requirements:
Drug test, background check, immunization verification and a completed health form.
