Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 143615 Cavalier Pharmacy; NMS Code 143621 TigeRx Pharmacy. The purpose of the residency is to develop competent, confident, and compassionate clinical providers of advanced patient care services within the community setting. The resident will be a faculty member of the college of pharmacy assisting with small group discussions, precepting students, as well as having lecture opportunities. Residents will practice at one of two independent pharmacy sites located in Southwest Virginia (Cavalier/ TigeRx). Each independent pharmacy is dedicated to advancing the profession of pharmacy thru collaboration with local organizations such as the health department, school systems, and physician offices. The resident will have the opportunity to serve the underserved in rural Applachia and really get to know their patients by living side by side with them.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD. or equivalent experience and eligible for Virginia and Tennessee licensure.
