The Smith's Community Pharmacy Residency Program is a one-year postgraduate training program aimed at developing leaders in community pharmacy practice. Residents gain experience in many areas including direct patient care, management, teaching and research. These experiences provide Smith's residency graduates with a broad perspective on the pharmacist's role in health care, the business of community pharmacy and the advancement of practice in the community pharmacy setting.
As a Smith's employee, a competitive benefits package is provided. Residents are entitled to 10 paid vacation days and holidays.
Pharmacy degree required (PharmD preferred); Application requires letter of intent, official transcript, Curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation.

The Smith's Community Residency Position is available in Salt Lake City, Utah. The program is offered in affiliation with Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy. The main practice sites for the resident are 1) a Smith's Pharmacy location in Lehi, 2) the Smith's corporate office in Salt Lake City and 3) Roseman University in South Jordan, Utah.
