Residency Special Features:   This residency is a longitudinal, rural experience balanced between inpatient medicine and ambulatory care. The resident will spend their time in a critical access hospital rounding with an academic family medicine service and in a family medicine clinic seeing patients and educating patients and providers. As the hospital is not staffed by many specialties, the pharmacists at the site provide a high level of expertise for the medical team in a wide range of areas. This residency also offers a significant academic component including a teaching certificate through the WVU School of Pharmacy and the opportunity to teach and precept pharmacy students, medical students, and medical residents.
