Residency Special Features:

The residency program at Doctors Hospital is newly established in 2016 and creates an opportunity for resident involvement in the further development of the program consistent with system goals and objectives. The program is tailored to fulfill the resident's individual interests and goals within ASHP accreditation standards. Residents actively participate in staff development programs for clinically oriented services. Longitudinal ambulatory care training enables the resident to establish individual relationships with patients and other health care professionals. Pharmacy residents complete Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification sponsored by the American Heart Association, enabling them to effectively participate on code blue, trauma alerts and other patient care emergencies. There are several elective options across OhioHealth and project opportunities to allow residents to pursue individual interests.

Fringe Benefits:

Gratis meals, stipend and parking, travel allowance for a regional residency conference and ASHP Midyear Meeting, pharmacy continuing education, OhioHealth Corporate discounts and time away pay equivalent to a full time employee. Full medical insurance packages are available through OhioHealth medical plans.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:

Pharm.D. or equivalent experience and eligibility for licensure in Ohio, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, a letter of intent, and official college transcripts. Application materials must be submitted via PhORCAS (Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application).
