Multisite: Located in scenic New England, Yale-New Haven Hospital is spread out on 2 campuses within walking distance of each other. The Pharmacy Department that serves both campuses is progressive, providing decentralized clinical services, automation, USP 797 sterile preparation, and support to numerous ambulatory clinics and a 125-bed skilled nursing facility.
Residency Special Features:   Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) offers a traditional, one-year specialty residency in pediatrics. YNHCH has a comprehensive level IV neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, dedicated pediatric emergency department, cystic fibrosis center, transplantation center, comprehensive epilepsy center, pediatric specialty infusion center, and pediatric primary care center. Opportunity exists for the resident to work collaboratively with pediatric intensivists, neonatologists, specialty physicians, midlevel practitioners, nurses, and clinical pharmacists in pediatrics and neonatology. Teaching opportunities include clinical teaching of PharmD students and PGY-1 residents as well as didactic lectures to students in health professions. A wide variety of electives allow the resident to tailor their interests and career goals.


 
Fringe Benefits:   The resident is provided with 2 weeks PTO, health/life insurance, reimbursement for reasonable expenses of 1-2 meetings such as ASHP Midyear Meeting, PPAG, or other conference with residency program director approval.
 
Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Successful completion of PGY1 residency, eligible for CT licensure, CV, academic transcripts, letter of intent, sample of written work, 3 letters of recommendation.
