Residency Special Features:   Core rotations include Emergency Medicine (rotating through different emergency departments), Pediatric ED, Toxicology, Trauma/Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Neurosciences ICU. Elective rotations include the Burn ICU, Infectious diseases, ED Administration, Anesthesia, Pediatric ICU and other rotations by special arrangement. Teaching opportunities include clinical teaching of PharmD students and PGY-1 residents, as well as didactic lectures. Residents are encouraged to participate in an optional teaching certificate program offered through the University of Connecticut.
Fringe Benefits:   The resident is provided with 2 weeks of time off, health/life insurance, reimbursement for reasonable expenses of a professional meeting such as ASHP Midyear Meeting, ACEP Meeting, or other conference with residency program director approval.
Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Successful completion of PGYI residency, eligible for CT licensure, CV, letter of intent, 3 letters of recommendation.
