Residency Special Features:   MaineGeneral residency program is designed to develop a pharmacist with the skills and abilities to successfully practice in an acute care setting, as adjunct faculty member, and/or to pursue PGY2 residency training. This 12 month program includes rotations in internal medicine, infectious disease, critical care, pharmacy administration, oncology and cardiology. Skills in clinical judgment, care plan development, knowledge of drug information, teaching skills, and teamwork will be emphasized.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Applicant must submit: Letter of intent, academic transcripts, three letters of reference, and curriculum vitae. On-site interview is required. Requirements for acceptance: Completion of a PharmD program, eligible for Maine licensure, and a US citizen or carry a permanent visa.

Site Special Features:   Located in Central Maine, MGMC is the 3rd largest medical facility in the state. MGMC is a teaching hospital affiliated with Dartmouth Medical School and UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine. We have a state of the art cancer treatment center, bariatric center, and are seeking Joint Commission certification as a primary stroke center.
