Residency Special Features:   Orientation is for a period of 8 weeks, then residents will embark on their required rotations that consist of: Internal Medicine, Anticoagulation, Administration, Discharge Medicine and Sterile Compounding. Longitudinal requirements include: Pharmacy Practice which entails every other weekend staffing of central pharmacy, Comprehensive Medication Management Clinic, Policy and Formulary Management, Projects and precepting students from primarily the University of New England and Albany College of Pharmacy. Elective rotations offered are: Hematology/Oncology, Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Disease, Anticoagulation and Pharmacy Informatics. Throughout the year long experience, residents will be improving their communication skills, their knowledge of the dynamic qualities of hospital medication management, their medication-use expertise along with developing professional maturation.
