The ASHP Accredited PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program at Hackensack University Medical Center is designed to provide advanced training in all aspects of emergency care, including pharmacotherapy, toxicology, emergency preparedness, pre-hospital care, and regulatory requirements specific to the Emergency Department (ED) setting. Teaching responsibilities and completion of research suitable for presentation and publication are expected. Residents completing our program will demonstrate an understanding and working knowledge of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of disease states within the ED.

Fringe Benefits:   

Residents receive a comprehensive benefits package from Hackensack University Medical Center. The resident will have on-site parking, lab coat, and meal card support. Financial support is provided for residents to attend ASHP's Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Eastern States Residency Conference. Financial support may be provided for additional educational conferences as deemed necessary by the residency advisory committee.

 
Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Applicants should hold a Pharm.D. degree, be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New Jersey, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills, curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation, and a letter of intent. PGY1 pharmacy residency from an ASHP accredited program is required. The position is available beginning July 2nd for a 12 month appointment.
