Residency Special Features:   

The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program provides opportunity to accelerate beyond entry-level professional competence in patient-centered care and Pharmacy operational services, and to further the development of leadership skills. Practice areas in which residents will gain experience include: Adult Internal medicine, Infectious Diseases, Critical Care, Oncology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, and Transitions of Care with longitudinal experiences in Ambulatory Care, Psychiatry, and Pharmacy Practice Management. Residents also pursue a longitudinal research project to be presented at ASHP Midyear (As a research-in-progress poster), Eastern States Residents and Preceptor Conference (As a platform presentation) and the NJSHP Resident Research Forum (As part of a CE program).

 
Fringe Benefits:   

Residents will receive health care benefits, paid vacation, sick leave, and a comp day following weekend staffing. Require professional travel, lodging, and conference registration fees are reimbursed by the hospital.

 
Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Must have a Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and be eligible for or possess licensure in the State of New-Jersey
