Residency Special Features:   The residency will provide advanced training in pediatric clinical therapeutics. The program includes experience in pediatric pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacology of anticancer agents, infectious diseases, clinical and operations management, pain management and pharmaceutical research. Rotations include pediatric hematology/oncology, pediatric bone marrow transplant, pain management, drug information and investigational drug studies/clinical trials. The resident will gain teaching experience providing presentations to medical and nursing staff as well as journal club and case presentations to pediatric pharmacy staff.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Letter of interest, three letters of recommendation, academic transcript, curriculm vitae, Pharm.D. and successful completion of PGY1. The applicant must be eligible for licensure in NY State.

This program allows the resident the unique opportunity to focus training in pediatric oncology. In addition to internally designed clinical trails, MSKCC participates in Children’s Oncology Group and POETIC Phase I trials. Elective rotations in adult oncology are available for the interested candidate.
