Residency Special Features:   This PGY1 residency program is designed to enhance clinical pharmacy skills through a variety of learning experiences including critical care, ambulatory care, internal medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, behavioral health, medication safety, and pharmacy administration. Residents will have the opportunity to participate in experiential activities with pharmacy students and present formal lectures and inservices to a wide range of audiences. Completion of a major project is required with presentation at The Eastern States Conference for residents and preceptors.

Site Special Features:   UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, New York is a 280-bed teaching hospital providing a full range of medical services, including cardiology, emergency medicine, neonatology, nephrology, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, and neuroscience. UHS Wilson Medical Center is a regional referral center for the advanced practice of emergency medicine, neurosurgery, and newborn intensive care. It is also the UHS site for the practice of open-heart surgery and other advanced cardiac procedures.
