Residency Special Features:   NFMMC offers comprehensive training with an emphasis on clinical practice in multidisciplinary environments. Due to the facility culture, there are opportunities to be involved in formulary reviews, policy/protocol development, and quality improvement initiatives to have significant institutional impact. Through a partnership with D'Youville College School of Pharmacy, some unique features include participation in global health initiatives through medical brigades to Ecuador (and other possible locations) if interested, as well as teaching involvement and elective rotations.

Site Special Features:   NFMMC started as an emergency hospital in 1895 and has evolved into Niagara's Premier Health Network. Partnership with a Doctor of Osteopathy residency program in both inpatient and outpatient settings has been created. Clinical experiences are offered in family medicine, infectious diseases, psychiatry, surgery, and many others based on affiliation with D'Youville College. Interestingly, the patient population consists of many international patients due to proximity to Canada, as well as being a global tourist attraction.
