Residency Special Features:   

The pharmacy practice residency is a structured training program with rotations offered in Cardiac Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Diseases, and Administration. Elective rotations include Oncology and Surgical Critical Care. The Unit-Based Pharmacy Program supports the active clinical role of pharmacists as a vital member of the healthcare team within the institution. Residents attend rounds, monitor medication regimens, and provide patient education, drug information to the team. Case presentations, in-services, and a project are required. Residents assist with teaching students and may obtain teaching certification.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Pharm.D., eligibility for licensure in New York, curriculum vitae, three recommendation letters, academic transcript, community service. Interview is required.
