Residency Special Features:   A flexible program designed to accommodate the needs of the resident within a dynamic institutional pharmacy of experienced practitioners. Core rotations include general medicine, critical care, infectious diseases, pediatrics, chronic disease management and pharmacy management. Resident selects 5 electives from a variety of care settings including solid organ transplant, cardiology, pediatric and adult oncology, and critical care (including 3 adult units, pediatric, and neonatal) environments. Project management and presentation skills emphasized throughout the program.

The Pharmacy provides comprehensive patient care throughunit basedpharmacists and clinical specialists, computerized prescriber order entry and automated drug distribution. Pharmacists are responsible for order verification and drug regimen review,renal dosing, drug information, therapeutic interchange and consults. Ten clinical specialists practice in a variety of settings.
