Residency Special Features:   The Pharmacy Practice Residency is designed for residents to develop into confident, multi-faceted, acute care pharmacists prepared for independent practice, advanced training, leadership and/or teaching opportunities. The comprehensive program offers residents the opportunity to strengthen and refine clinical and patient care skills, while developing proficiency in project management, presentations, operations, policy development, and teaching skills. Available rotations include: infectious disease, emergency medicine, family medicine, cardiology, internal medicine, pediatrics, oncology, anticoagulation, critical care/trauma, pharmacokinetics, pharmacy services, management/leadership, medication safety, ambulatory, drug use policy, pain, pharmacy informatics, and research. In addition to core rotation requirements, electives allow flexibility to customize training. The resident is required to complete a major project of publishable quality and will travel to professional meetings to present their project’s findings.
