Residency Special Features:   UPMC Shadyside offers the breadth of a tertiary care teaching hospital combined with the applicability and opportunities of a community hospital with a large primary care provider base. Shadyside residents will develop clinical skills in a variety of settings, with a high degree of rotation flexibility for personalization. Unique learning opportunities include optional focus on family medicine, integration with a physician training program, participation in existing multidisciplinary practice improvement workgroups, and Mastery of Teaching certificate program through the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
