Residency Special Features:   

The mission of the PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Geisinger Medical Center is to develop the knowledge, clinical experience and philosophy required to create a well-rounded, fully competent oncology pharmacist. Core rotations include Medical Oncology, Hematology including Autologous and Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant, Investigational Drug Services, Palliative Care and Pain Management, Supportive Care, Ambulatory Oncology and Oral Chemotherapy Medication Therapy Management Clinic. Elective rotations include Pharmacy Administration, International Medical Missions, Critical Care and Precepting experiential activities of Pharmacy students. Completion of a major project is required with presentation at ASHP midyear meeting, and HOPA Annual Conference.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm D. or equivalent experience, completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency and eligibility for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
