Residency Special Features:   UPMC Mercy is a tertiary care teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. The pharmacy practice residency emphasizes clinical practice, drug information, practice management, and drug use policy. Residents will gain experience providing a range of pharmacotherapy and educational services to patients, healthcare providers, and staff in the acute and ambulatory care setting. The residency is designed to produce an individual with the knowledge and ability to become a highly competent practitioner and to foster within the resident a maturity and self confidence needed to effectively communicate that knowledge and ability.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   the applicant must be licensed or will be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania and must provide a curriculum vitae, all official college or university transcripts, an application form, a letter of intent and three letters of recommendation.
