Residency Special Features:   York Hospital's Pharmacy Critical Care Residency Program offers the opportunity to develop specialty pharmaceutical care skills in both medical and surgical intensive care unit patients. Additional experience in emergency medicine is available. Precepted by experienced and dedicated practitioners, York Hospital's PGY2 program ensures competency development while residents build confidence and independence in the setting of complex drug therapy decision making. York Hospital is a tertiary care referral center with a level 1 trauma program. It has a total of 40 intensive care unit beds. These units include a medical-surgical ICU, cardiothoracic ICU, trauma-neurosurgical ICU and coronary care unit. Interdisciplinary rounds with medical residents, surgery residents, and ICU attendings create an ideal environment for pharmacy involvement and patient care activities. Candidates must have active Pennsylvania Pharmacist licensure by 7/1/2018.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D. degree, eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania and completion of Pharmacy Practice Residency Program at York Hospital or have had an equivalent level of prior experience. Completed application materials including curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation.
