Residency Special Features:   The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Shadyside is the practice site for the Pharmacy Practice Residency. The integration of resources at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and UPMC offers a challenging yet flexible program where motivated residents ensure the application of safe and effective, evidence-based medicine practices to patients. Rotations are available in internal medicine, ambulatory care, intensive care units, solid organ transplant, oncology, cardiology, nutrition, infectious diseases, and drug information. Residents will design a research project, develop and implement drug use initiatives, serve on multidisciplinary committees, participate in journal club and seminar, and precept pharmacy students.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Completion of ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree, eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure, curriculum vitae, letter of intent, three letters of recommendation, and onsite interview.
