Residency Special Features:   FLEXIBLE, GOAL-ORIENTED program with opportunity to emphasize GERIATRICS, LONG-TERM CARE and AMBULATORY CARE. Rotations in ambulatory care, long-term care, acute care and experience in pharmacy practice management, performance improvement, medication use evaluation, drug policy development, local P&T Committee, teaching, writing and projects. Guidance from experienced pharmacists while the resident is encouraged to develop independence. Significant opportunities for patient contact. Access to national VA resources.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm. D., licensure within 2 months of start date, U.S. citizenship, pre-employment physical/urine drug screen. Appointment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a physical exam, including negative drug test and all VA/federal employment requirements including background check.
