Residency Special Features:   

Our comprehensive residency program is designed to develop clinical competencies, leadership and professional skills. The resident will function as an integral part of the healthcare team. Core rotations include: Oncology, Internal Medicine, Decentralized Services, Pediatrics, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Antimicrobial Stewardship. The resident will have continuous experiences in pharmacy administration and pharmacy leadership as well as one month spent in either Administration, Leadership, Medication Safety or Informatics. Additional longitudinal experiences include; Project Management, Clinical Practice Advancement, Pharmacy Practice Experience and the completion of an ACPE accredited Teaching Certificate Program. Elective opportunities include: Pediatric Oncology, NICU, HIV, Cardiology, Cardiac ICU, ID Consult, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Transitions of Care, Transplant, Family Medicine, Education and Precepting, Community Practice and elective experiences in a core rotations.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Pharm.D, eligible for licensure in Florida, academic transcript, curriculum vitae, letter of intent. Three references are required; one can be from a faculty member and at least one must be from a Clinical Preceptor. . All reference writers must complete the Standardized Reference Form in PhORCAS. In lieu of a letter of recommendation the reference writers must complete the three Narrative Comment Sections in PhORCAS.

Lee Health serves as a clinical clerkship site for five colleges of pharmacy and is active in medical research.
