Residency Special Features:   This residency training is designed to develop the resident's clinical expertise and education in a variety of inpatient pharmacy practice areas. The residency focuses not only on inpatient clinical development in areas such as Internal Medicine, Critical Care,  Parenteral Nutrition, but also on longitudinal leadership skills development, Academia, and Administration. There is opportunity for various lectures, student precepting and professional growth. Boca Raton has distinguished scores in Health Grades, top ranked Hospital by US News and World Report, and named one of America's Top 50 Hospitals by Health Grades.  The resident will be an integral part of various medical teams.  Boca Raton Regional Hospital is also a site for the Florida Atlantic University Medical Residency Program, providing an ample learning environment for clinical and professional growth.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   All applicants are required to apply through PhORCAS, and provide letter of intent, 3 letters of recommendation, online application and official college of pharmacy transcripts.  Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States through the residency year.  Boca Raton Regional Hospital does not sponsor VISAs.  Interviews are highly competitive and applicants are encouraged to complete their applications early.

Site Special Features:   Boca Raton Regional Hospital is a comprehensive stroke center, also specializes in cardiovascular surgery, electrophysiology surgery and currently building a neuroscience center.  Recently Boca Raton Regional Hospital received the Gold Plus award for outstanding stroke care by the American Heart and American Stroke Associations.  Additionally Boca Raton Regional Hospital is one of the top stroke treatment hospitals in the United States per US World and news Report.  The hospital is a teaching site for Florida Atlantic University College of Pharmacy, Palm Beach Atlantic, University of Florida and Nova Southeastern University Colleges of Pharmacy.   Residents will gain a longitudinal ambulatory patient care experience through the Florida Atlantic University clinic, where the resident will round with ambulatory teams and schedule their own patients.  The resident can earn complimentary Florida CE through Boca Raton Regional Hospital's Grand Rounds.
