Residency Special Features:   

This residency is an intensive program that provides the resident with a variety of experiences ensuring the development of knowledge and skills required to provide expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients. Required rotations include infusion center, oncology clinic practice, inpatient oncology, inpatient hematology, investigational drug services, and pharmacy administration. Various elective experiences include bone marrow transplant, infectious disease, and pediatric hematology/oncology. The resident will complete a medication use evaluation, research project, and ACPE-accredited seminar presentation.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Pharm.D., successful completion of (or currently enrolled in) a PGY-1 Pharmacy residency, eligibility for licensure in Florida, completed PhORCAS application, and an on-site interview.

Site Special Features:   

Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center serves as the primary practice site for this residency. Rotations could take place at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Arnold Palmer Medical Center (APMC), or at one of the regional cancer centers operated by Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center at Lake Mary, Ocoee, or Dr. Phillips. Bone marrow transplant elective may take place at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL or Florida Hospital Orlando.
