Residency Special Features:   The PGY-1 residency program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. The resident will gain experience in a broad range of clinical areas including cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, neonatology, critical care, infectious disease, drug information, internal medicine, oncology, nutrition, emergency medicine and pharmacy administration. Opportunities also exist for writing and speaking, MUE activities, drug use control coordination and precepting pharmacy students. Completion of a research project and presentation of that research project at the Florida Residency Conference is required.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D. or B.S. degree with equivalent experience, licensure in Florida, academic transcript, letter of intent, curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation, application and personal interview.
