Residency Special Features:   This residency is committed to providing excellent training experiences to advance the resident's clinical skills, knowledge base, and professional interests. The program is dedicated to preparing future pediatric pharmacy clinicians and leaders by promoting confidence, leadership and professional skills. Required rotations include: pediatric medical/surgical, PICU, NICU, hematology/oncology, emergency department, antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, cystic fibrosis clinic, project management, and clinical practice advancement. Electives offered include: psychiatric pharmacotherapy, ambulatory care/transitions of care, and pharmacy practice leadership (administration).

The resident will be provided with opportunities to develop teaching and presentation skills. Activities include: a research project suitable for publication and presentation at professional meetings, medication-use evaluation, and 2 ACPE-accredited CE presentations.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D., eligible for licensure in Florida, academic transcript, curriculum vitae, and letter of intent. Three references are required, and one must be from a clinical preceptor. All reference writers must complete the Standardized Reference Form in PhORCAS.
