Residency Special Features:   

Orlando Regional Medical Center, part of Orlando Health, is the primary site for this residency. This residency is an intensive 12-month program that will provide the resident with a wide variety of emergency medicine and critical care experiences, ensuring the development of knowledge and skills required to provide optimal pharmaceutical care in the any emergency department setting. Required rotations include adult emergency medicine (5 months), critical care medicine, surgical critical care, and pediatric emergency medicine/critical care. Additional elective rotations are available including toxicology, trauma/general surgery, neuro critical care, cardiovascular critical care, adult infectious diseases, rapid response team, and women's obstetrics/gynecology.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Pharm.D., successful completion of (or currently enrolled in) a PGY-1 Pharmacy residency, eligibility for licensure in Florida, completed PhORCAS application, and an on-site interview.

Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), part of Orlando Health (a 6 hospital, 1780-bed healthcare system), is an academic teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Center. ORMC serves as the primary practice site for this residency. Additional experiences occur at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, an academic teaching hospital specializing in pediatrics, Winne Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, an academic teaching hospital specializing in women's and neonatal medicine, and Doctor P. Phillips Hospital, a full-service medical/surgical community hospital. Orlando Health also supports approximately 200 medical residents and fellows.
