Residency Special Features:   The required learning experiences of the program consist of practice management, administration, internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine and antimicrobial stewardship. Completion of a research project and a medication use evaluation resulting in the improvement or validation of a medication use process are all required. Throughout the program, the resident will have practice responsibilities, be assigned to interdisciplinary committees and be involved with educational activities. The resident will function as an integral part of the institution's patent care services.

Pharmacy residents are based at St. Joseph's Hospital North with opportunities for experience throughout the system. The Department of Pharmacy is responsible for pharmaceutical care services for approximately 120 acute care beds and affiliated outpatient areas including an outpatient infusion center.
