Residency Special Features:   Pharmacists completing a residency at BRH will be confident, considerate, and capable providers of specialized pediatric care to patients in a multitude of healthcare environments. Required rotations include: general pediatrics, PICU, NICU, administration, information technology. Elective rotations may include: emergency medicine, academics, surgery, OB/GYN, gastroenterology, infectious disease, medication safety, and drug information etc. Activities include: a research project suitable for publication, medication use evaluation, pharmacy in services, and development of a new pediatric pharmacy service.

Site Special Features:   Located in the Tampa Bay Area, the hospital is comprised of a Level III NICU, PICU, General Pediatrics Unit, newborn nursery, and dedicated pediatric emergency center. We have the only Aero-digestive program in the Tampa Bay area, combining pulmonary, gastroenterology, and ENT specialists for each case. All Children's Specialty Physicians are on-site 24/7 providing care in our NICU and general surgery for all pediatric patients. Off-site learning experiences are available in collaboration with Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and University of Florida College of Pharmacy.
