Residency Special Features:   A PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration (HSPA) residency builds upon PGY1 residency graduates’ skills in the delivery of patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services. This prepares the resident for high level managerial and leadership responsibilities. Areas focused on include safe and effective medication management systems, quality assurance/control, management of human resources including recruiting, financial stewardship, technology in healthcare and leadership strategies.
 
During the residency year, a combination of block and longitudinal learning experiences will be utilized. These experiences are variable in length, often overlap, and may be adjusted as needed.
