Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 121313 - traditional PGY1 at MRH;NMS Code 121321 - PGY1 Nontraditional; NMS Code 121323 - PGY1 with a focus on rehabilitation at MRHS. Residents interact with multidisciplinary teams during daily rounds on clinical rotations and facilitate medication-related interventions with a goal of improving patient-centered care. Residents will participate in education by presenting practice-related CE lectures and during layered-learning with preceptors and pharmacy students. Additionally, residents will educate patients and members of the healthcare team on drug-related topics. Leadership will be exercised through committee coordination. Other longitudinal experiences will include participation in: research, teaching certificate training, pharmacy resident grand rounds, expanded mentoring program and ambulatory care clinic. Rotations include Advanced Hospital, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neonatology / Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Anticoagulation, Research, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. Several elective rotations are offered for an optimal experience.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm. D. Degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy, eligibility for Florida licensure, curriculum vitae, official college transcript, letter of intent and three letters of recommendation. Applicants must register through the National Matching Service (NMS). Candidates must apply using the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized application Services (PhORCAS).
