Residency Special Features:   Core experiences occur in the 156,000 visit emergency department of Grady Memorial Hospital, which is a level-one trauma center for Atlanta. The resident works closely with physicians, nurses, and students to care for an acute and clinically diverse patient population in a teaching environment. Elective rotations include SICU, MICU, burn center, and toxicology. The resident also takes part in the department's 24-hr in-house, on-call program, which provides clinical services, stroke response, and code blue response to the institution.
