Residency Special Features:   Residents gain and refine skills through a variety of experiences in a conserved specialist pharmacy practice model at a tertiary care, private, non-profit, academic health system. This program utilizes the collective assets of the Emory Hospitals and Winship Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, in educating and training residents in clinical practice, teaching, and research while facilitating perpetual professional growth and development. Required rotations include inpatient leukemia/lymphoma, inpatient hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), outpatient malignant hematology/HSCT, 4 months of outpatient medical oncology, Phase I Unit/Investigational Drug Services, research, and staffing/orientation. Two months are reserved for electives.

EUH and EUHM are the primary teaching hospitals for the Emory University School of Medicine. All attending physicians are faculty members of the school and serve in one of the 28 medical specialty or subspecialty departments of the hospital. Decentralized pharmacists have distributive and clinical roles. Pharmacy provides full computerized unit dose and admixture services.
