Residency Special Features:   Pharmacists completing this residency will be trained to provide proficient, confident, and compassionate direct patient care in a community practice setting. Residents will gain experience in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Oncology, Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Diseases, Pharmacokinetics, Anticoagulation, Nutrition Support, Practice Management and Medication Safety. A longitudinal research project and Medication Use Evaluation will be completed as part of the training program. The resident will develop their presentation skills through formal Case Presentations, Journal Club and Medical Education Sessions.The resident will be a member of various multi-disciplinary committees, including the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. Teaching opportunities are available, to include precepting IPPE and APPE pharmacy students.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, eligibility for Georgia licensure, curriculum vitae, letter of intent, three letters of recommendation, and copy of college transcripts. An on-site interview is required.
