Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 146813 – PGY1 – General (8 positions); NMS Code 146821 – PGY1 – Non-traditional (2 positions). The purpose of the PGY1 residency program is to develop a well-rounded pharmacist with the skills, attitude and ability to successfully be an acute or ambulatory care pharmacist, an adjunct faculty member, a PGY2 resident, and a candidate for board certification. The resident trains with pharmacists in a variety of practice settings, including acute care medicine, critical care, pediatrics, neonatology, infectious disease, emergency medicine, oncology and ambulatory care.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program and eligible for licensure in Georgia and full submission of application materials through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) at https://portal.phorcas.org, including letter of interest, curriculum vitae, official copies of all pharmacy school transcripts, and 3 letters of recommendation.
