Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 146813 – PGY1 – General (8 positions); NMS Code 146821 – PGY1 – Non-traditional (2 positions). The purpose of the PGY1 residency program is to develop a well-rounded pharmacist with the skills, attitude and ability to successfully be an acute or ambulatory care pharmacist, an adjunct faculty member, a PGY2 resident, and a candidate for board certification. The resident trains with pharmacists in a variety of practice settings, including acute care medicine, critical care, pediatrics, neonatology, infectious disease, emergency medicine, oncology and ambulatory care.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program and eligible for licensure in Georgia and full submission of application materials through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) at, including letter of interest, curriculum vitae, official copies of all pharmacy school transcripts, and 3 letters of recommendation.
