Residency Special Features:   The Holy Cross Hospital (HCH) residency program is designed to help pharmacists transition from the role of student to the role of practitioner. Pharmacists choosing to pursue residency training set themselves down a different career path, one that has potential for greatly increased job satisfaction and, more importantly, better patient care. The PGY-1 residency at Holy Cross Hospital is a rigorous and intentional advanced training program for motivated individuals. At the same time, the residency program is customized for each individual resident. Rotations selected and learning activities undertaken are all oriented toward the individual resident’s learning needs. Residents receive paid time travel expenses to attend specified National and State Conferences: ASHP Mid-Year conference and Eastern States Residency Conference.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Only graduates from ACPE accredited pharmacy programs may apply to the residency program. Foreign pharmacy graduates may apply to the residency program after successfully passing TOEFL, FPGEE, and if licensed to practice pharmacy in the Maryland. The residency at HCH cannot be used to collect hours to sit for the NABPLEX. Applicants must submit the following materials by January 14, 2013 1) Transcript from college of pharmacy 2) Curriculum vitae 3) Letter of intent 4) Three letters of recommendation.
