Residency Special Features:   The PGYI pharmacy residency program at Shady Grove Medical Center is designed to provide its residents with the skills and knowledge to become competent and independent pharmacy practitioners, able to provide pharmaceutical care in various environments. This residency program provides full range of inpatient rotations, such as Internal medicine, critical care, NICU, Pediatrics,  antimicrobial stewardship,  administrative, emergency medicine,  informatics and oncology.  Residents will have the opportunity to enroll in a Teaching Certificate Program through the University of Maryland. The program also requires formal case presentations, in-services, journal clubs, and a longitudinal research project. Residents receive paid time travel expenses to attend specified National and State Conferences: ASHP Mid-Year conference and Eastern States Residency Conference.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school and eligibility for licensure in Maryland. Licensure must be obtained no later than September 1st. Applicants should submit all materials via PhORCAS.
