Multisite: The MUSC Medical Center is comprised of four hospitals: Ashley River Tower, Children's Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, and University Hospital. Organizationally, MUSC is set up in service lines: Children and Women's, Digestive Diseases, Heart and Vascular, Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences, Oncology, Transplant; and Trauma, Critical and Acute Care. Numerous outpatient facilities include the Ashley River Tower, Rutledge Tower Clinics, Family Medicine Center and affiliated faculty practice ambulatory care centers.
Residency Special Features:   The PGY1 with Drug Information Focus Residency allows the resident to complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with electives, projects, and other assignments focused in the areas of drug information practice, formulary management, academia, medication safety, and informatics. The PGY1 resident will early commit to the PGY2 program in December of the PGY1 year. Therefore, this is essentially a 24-month program, with more specialization in the above areas during the PGY2 year.
