Multisite: The MUSC Medical Center is comprised of four hospitals: Ashley River Tower, Children's Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, and University Hospital. Organizationally, MUSC is set up in service lines: Children and Women's, Digestive Diseases, Heart and Vascular, Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences, Oncology, Transplant; and Trauma, Critical and Acute Care. Numerous outpatient facilities include the Ashley River Tower, Rutledge Tower Clinics, Family Medicine Center and affiliated faculty practice ambulatory care centers.

Residents in PGY1 residency programs are provided the opportunity to accelerate their growth beyond entry-level professional competence in patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services, and to further the development of leadership skills that can be applied in any position/practice setting. PGY1 residents acquire substantial knowledge required for skillful problem solving, refine their problem-solving strategies, strengthen their professional values and attitudes, and advance the growth of their clinical judgment. Only International applicants who have completed a pharmacist training program affiliated with MUSC College of Pharmacy can apply to the International Track and will be considered based on the merits of his/her application. If an International applicant is not from one of these training programs, he/she is welcome to apply to the General Track if they are eligible to work in the US and will be considered based on the merits of his/her application.
