Multisite: The MUSC Medical Center is comprised of four hospitals: Ashley River Tower, Children's Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, and University Hospital. Organizationally, MUSC is set up in service lines: Children and Women's, Digestive Diseases, Heart and Vascular, Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences, Oncology, Transplant; and Trauma, Critical and Acute Care. Numerous outpatient facilities include the Ashley River Tower, Rutledge Tower Clinics, Family Medicine Center and affiliated faculty practice ambulatory care centers.
Residency Special Features:   This residency is designed to train pharmacists to care for the critically ill patient. Training will be focused in rotations such as the medical ICU, neurosciences ICU, cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/trauma ICU, and medical-surgical ICU with diverse patient populations. The strength of the program lies in both the practice model at MUSC and the diverse experiences of each of the experienced preceptors, coupled with the strong affiliation with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy.
