Residency Special Features:   This PGY1 residency is designed to provide a wide variety of clinical and professional experiences in pediatrics. Clinical areas for rotations include internal medicine, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, hematology/oncology, practice management, and ambulatory care. Opportunities for electives include infectious diseases, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, and others. The resident will also participate in department and hospital-wide committees and clinical education programs, as well as complete a residency project for presentation at a regional conference.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Letter of intent, CV, three recommendation letters and college transcripts are required. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Virginia.
