Residency Special Features:   This one-year program prepares residents with the knowledge and clinical skills to become specialist practitioners in cardiology. Rotations include critical care cardiology, acute care cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, heart failure and transplant, anticoagulation, procedural cardiology, and a longitudinal clinic experience. A teaching certificate program is also available and opportunities to participate in both experiential and didactic education of pharmacy and other medical disciplines is also expected. Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy; ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency, Virginia licensure by September 1.
