Residency Special Features:   This residency program provides a comprehensive, flexible training experience in a dynamic teaching hospital. The resident will actively participate within the various primary care and mental health clinics. Exposure to inpatient practice areas including: Internal Medicine, Critical Care/Surgery, Psychiatry (Acute & Extended Care, PTSD), Infectious Disease, and Geriatrics. Ample didactic opportunities are available to educate patients and other clinical providers and staff. Pharmacy affiliations: Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia, Shenandoah University, Appalachian College of Pharmacy; may serve as preceptor for clerkship students during some rotations.
