Residency Special Features:   

This PGY1 residency program with an emphasis in ambulatory care and academia offers opportunities in cardiology, family medicine/primary care, community health center, diabetes care and transitions of care in a variety of practice settings. Additional patient care practice settings include acute internal medicine and community dispensing. For specific interest areas, electives can often be arranged. Completion of an academic teaching certificate is a required component. Participation in scholarship with presentation at the ASHP MCM, regional meetings, and preparation of a publication ready manuscript are also required. Charleston is the capital city allowing opportunities for professional advocacy experience.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Pharm.D. required, eligible for licensure in West Virginia, APhA Immunization Certification or a WV BOP approved alternative is required for WV license. Application includes letter, curriculum vitae, official transcript, and 3 references.
